DeSantis is fighting everybody to cut your property taxes this November, and it's not just Democrats standing in his way anymore. This time it's his own party.

There are 3 amendments on your ballot dealing with property taxes, and DeSantis isn't treating them the same. Amendment 1 would raise the cap on Florida's rainy day fund from 10% to 25%, forcing the Legislature to sock away up to $750 million a year instead of giving it back to you. The Florida Republican Party officially endorsed it. So DeSantis went straight to their own X post and called it out publicly, replying "a foolish constitutional amendment proposal," pointing out the state already has $18 billion in reserves with the rainy day fund maxed at $5 billion, and said any extra revenue should go toward lower taxes or killing tolls instead. His own party endorsed this thing, and he told them no, right on their own post. He's a hard no on this one.
Amendment 2 gives farmers relief from paying property tax twice, once on their land, again on their equipment, tractors, irrigation, fencing. DeSantis hasn't taken a side on this one, leaving it to voters, though Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson is all in, calling it a step toward "securing the permanent future of agriculture in Florida." DeSantis is neutral on this one.
Then there's Amendment 3, the big one, raising your homestead exemption from $50,000 to $150,000 in 2027, then $250,000 in 2028, wiping out the non-school portion of property taxes completely for 60% of Florida homeowners. Cities and counties are fighting it hard, funded in part by taxpayer-backed groups like the Florida League of Cities. The Florida Realtors just put $10 million behind a campaign to pass it, and Byron Donalds is backing DeSantis on this one too, saying he wants to go even further and eliminate property taxes altogether if elected governor. DeSantis is a yes vote on this one and he’s endorsing it.

Your K-Cup Has Been Sitting in a Warehouse for Months
That grocery store pod? It was roasted long before it hit the shelf. Coffee starts losing flavor within weeks of roasting — which is why your morning cup tastes flat, no matter how nice your machine is.
Angelino's does it differently. A third-generation roaster in Los Angeles, they roast, grind, and seal every pod in-house for peak freshness, then ship it to your door within days of roasting. The difference is the first thing you'll notice: real aroma, real flavor, no bitterness.
Mix and match from 50+ specialty coffees, teas, and flavored blends — all Keurig®-compatible — and save more with every box you add, up to 34% off at 12+. Order once whenever you're running low, or subscribe for an extra 5% if that's easier. Entirely up to you.
New customers get 15% off their first order — applied automatically, no code needed.
DeSantis isn't leaving Florida's future to chance either. He held a leadership forum in Tampa and locked in commitments from Byron Donalds, Attorney General James Uthmeier, CFO Blaise Ingoglia, and Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson, four men all pledging to keep cutting the size and cost of government long after he's out of office in January.
If Amendment 3 fails, Florida's property tax collections are on track to jump another 40% by 2031, according to DeSantis's own numbers. A yes vote stops that.
None of this matters if you don't show up. Go to registertovoteflorida.gov right now and make sure you're registered. DeSantis's endorsements this November: no on Amendment 1, no stance on Amendment 2, a hell yes on Amendment 3, and Byron Donalds, James Uthmeier, Blaise Ingoglia, and Wilton Simpson for the top four seats.
