Florida's Next Governor in 2026

Here’s what happened. Lieutenant Governor Jay Collins, Deputy Chief of Staff Brian Wright, reached out to me on X and told me the Lt Governor has seen my YouTube videos and would like to meet me in person. I was blown away!! (this is all because of you btw. More on that in a minute)

Now, if you don’t know who Jay is, he’s an Army Green Beret who lost his leg in combat. And then requalified for the Green Beret’s and served another 4 years. He was a Florida State Senator from 2022 on representing parts of Tampa and was a strong supporter of Governor Ron DeSantis. He was appointed Lieutenant Governor of Florida in August of 2025 by DeSantis, and he’s been part of the team thats been leading the push to eliminate property taxes in Florida! Which is why I started following him closely months ago.

So earlier this week on Monday, October 27th, (My Dad’s Bday) I drove up to the Urban Stillhouse in St Petersburg. They were nice enough to let us do the meet and greet privately at their restaurant. I got to sit down and talk to Jay one on one for about 10 minutes and then I got to interview him on camera for 20 minutes. (more to come on that) He’s an awesome guy, down to earth, but you can tell this guy is passionate about keeping Florida strong! I was super impressed by him. Basically, If you like Ron DeSantis, you’re gonna love Jay Collins.

Now Jay hasn’t come out and officially announced he’s running for Governor yet. But when he does, I know Governor Ron DeSantis is gonna support him and so am I. He’s the only person that is running/or might be running in the future that is for complete elimination of property taxes on homestead homes. And thats a number one issue for Floridians and myself.

The point of all this is to share a little behind the scenes with you, because you were nice enough to join this newsletter. But most importantly I wanted to say thank you.
