Daniella Levine Cava just launched a political committee with one job, killing Amendment 3 before you even vote on it, warning it'll gut police, fire, and libraries. Here's what she's not telling you. Miami-Dade's property tax revenue grew 35% in the last four years while the population grew 5.72%. Florida's own fiscal watchdog, FAFO, found $470.7 million in excessive spending in a single fiscal year, and $807.4 million since 2023. That's more money than Amendment 3 is even projected to cost this county in its first year. And the same counties crying poverty are paying dues to lobbying groups that are actively spending your tax dollars to fight your own tax cut.

St. Pete handed out $19.1 million for a 24 unit "affordable" housing project, with a cost per unit at $800,000. They could’ve bought 48 houses in that same neighborhood with that money and given those homes away to needy families for free instead. Habitat for Humanity is building identical homes a mile away for $400,000 a unit.
Broward spent $890,000 on DEI training on something called the “genderbread person”. Somehow these cities and counties have the money to fund these BS projects but if you vote for a tax cut, they’re saying they’ll have to cut police and fire departments. Really?
Meanwhile, Byron Donalds just came out hard in support of Amendment 3, and said he'd push to go even further and possibly eliminate property taxes altogether if elected governor. He said, “Florida residents are not a piggybank for government.”

Here’s what a Yes Vote on Amendment 3 does. It raises your homestead exemption from $50,000 currently to $150,000 starting on January 1st, 2027, then up to $250,000 in 2028. For about 60% of Florida homeowners, that wipes out the non-school portion of your property tax bill completely. It needs 60% of the vote to pass on November 3rd. This is real relief for Florida families and retirees that are struggling right now to pay the bills.
Government doesn't have money of its own. It only gets money by reaching into your pocket. Amendment 3 doesn't touch police or fire, it just makes politicians finally cut the extras they've been funding first. Vote yes on November 3rd and put your money back where it belongs. In your pocket.
