Here's what's going on. The Trump administration has been hit with 530 lawsuits in 2025 alone. More than any president in American history. Three lawsuits for every single business day he's been in office. And your tax dollars are funding both sides of every single fight. The states suing Trump are using their taxpayers' money to pay the lawyers. And then every American taxpayer including you is funding the Department of Justice to fight back. You're paying to attack and paying to defend at the same time.

So what are they actually fighting over? The Trump administration froze billions in social safety net funding after uncovering the largest pandemic relief fraud in U.S. history in Minnesota. Two hundred and fifty million dollars stolen from a program meant to feed hungry kids during COVID. Seventy eight people charged and 92% of them were Somalians. The money went to Porsches, Louis Vuitton bags, and wire transfers overseas. California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, and New York immediately sued to get that money flowing again. Your tax dollars are now funding the DOJ to fight back. Unreal.

Then there's the voter rolls. Trump asked all 50 states to hand over their voter data so the feds could check for fraud. Twenty two states said no and sued to stop him from even looking. Here in Florida DeSantis just signed his own version of the SAVE Act to tighten voter ID laws. Florida leads on this. But we're still paying part of the federal bill to fight those 22 states in court.

This one’s mind blowing. Nineteen states plus DC sued to keep using federal tax dollars to fund sex changes on minors after Trump put a stop to it. Kids as young as 8 years old. 😢 Same procedures Florida banned in 2023. DeSantis didn't blink when the media came after him for it.

Twenty one states plus DC sued to keep non-citizens eligible for food stamps after Trump tightened the rules. Basically you're paying for illegals to get free food while Americans suffer. And the USDA already confirmed $10.5 billion in improper food stamp (SNAP) payments in 2023 alone. Twelve cents of every dollar the program paid out is going to fraud.

And then there's the one that'll really get you. The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool has been a national embarrassment for years. Obama spent $34 million fixing it between 2010 and 2012. And when they were done they switched the water source from city water treated with chlorine to brackish water from the nearby Tidal Basin as a green initiative. Within one month of reopening it was covered in green algae. A $34 million failure that never worked. The pool still leaked 16 million gallons of water a year and every summer it turned green again

The Biden administration had a plan sitting on the table to fix it for $301 million and it would take three years of construction. Trump looked at that and said, “no way. I can get this done for a fraction of that cost and I can get it done fast.” He brought in a contractor he knew and trusted, got the work started immediately, and it's set to be finished before July 4th, just in time for America's 250th birthday. And get this. The whole projects coming in at $15 million versus $301 million. That's a $286 million savings and instead of three years, you get it in a few months.

And they sued him to stop it. The lawsuit is literally about the color of the pool. Flag Blue. A nonprofit that just had $215,000 in federal grants cut by DOGE filed that one. Do you think it’s related? 🤔 Here’s what it’ll look like. 👇🏼

This isn't checks and balances. It's a strategy to bury an administration in paperwork, drain the clock, and make sure the 77 million people who voted for him get nothing while their tax dollars fund both sides of every single fight.
