This Ended Byron Donalds run for Governor
...And I was in the room.
Right now two Republicans are fighting it out for the chance to be Florida's next governor. One is US Congressman Byron Donalds. The other is Florida's Lieutenant Governor Jay Collins, a former Green Beret hand-picked by Ron DeSantis himself. This week Jay walked into a press conference and dropped a 13-page document on the table that could end Byron's run before it ever really gets started. I was in the room when it happened.

The document is titled Congressman Byron Donalds' Liabilities. And it starts with a guy named Larry Wilcoxson. Between 2020 and 2025 Byron's campaign paid Larry over $419,000 as his senior political advisor and body man. Everywhere Byron went, Larry went. According to Jay's document, Larry was arrested in 2006 and charged with three counts of child molestation for allegedly assaulting a 13-year-old girl while working as a substitute teacher. Armed robbery. Aggravated battery. Grand theft auto in Collier County. None of it was hidden. It was all public record. Byron kept writing him checks for five years anyway.
And thats just page one!
Byron also has his own criminal record. In 1997 he got busted for weed. Three years later he was back in front of a judge on a second-degree felony bribery charge, punishable by up to 15 years in prison. He got it expunged and spent the next 12 years telling everyone it was just a minor theft charge. Then on multiple government applications he checked the box saying he had never been arrested or charged with anything. His excuse when caught was that expungement means you don't have to tell anybody. Trump reportedly passed on giving Byron a cabinet position for the same reason. This past March he finally told the truth on camera. After 12 years of a completely different story.
I'm dropping the full 13-page document right here. Download it and read it yourself. Every claim is sourced.

There's also the stock trading. Byron failed to disclose over 100 stock trades worth up to $1.6 million, a violation of the federal STOCK Act which exists to stop members of Congress from insider trading. When he got caught it turned out to be 192 trades totaling as much as $2.8 million. He didn't come forward voluntarily. He got caught. In 2022 Byron told a reporter that members of Congress who don't disclose trades on time deserve sanctions. His words. For doing exactly what he then went and did himself. And what he said next, after getting caught red handed, tells you everything you need to know about how Byron Donalds operates.
Arnold Schwarzenegger has a newsletter.
Yeah. That Arnold Schwarzenegger.
So do Codie Sanchez, Scott Galloway, Colin & Samir, Shaan Puri, and Jay Shetty. And none of them are doing it for fun. They're doing it because a list you own compounds in ways that social media never will.

Every time Byron takes a position and Florida voters push back, he folds. He was against eliminating property taxes on homestead homes until the polls changed. He supported the BLM Minneapolis rioters until Floridians got mad. He talked about pathways to citizenship for illegal aliens until that blew up too. That's not a governor. That's a weather vane.
The primary is August 18th 2026. Only registered Republicans can vote. If you're registered as an Independent or a democrat, you need to switch to a republican by July 20th or you're locked out. Go to RegisterToVoteFlorida.gov and update your registration today.

P.P.S. And just so we're clear, I don't take money from any politician or campaign. This is my opinion based on what I've seen and what I know. My goal is simple. 1. Keep Florida strong. 2. Get the right governor. 3. finish what DeSantis started.
